I was asked by a high school classmate exactly what I do- they seemed to be confused by my Facebook personality...and labels dont work...some seem to think I am a flaming left-wing liberal; others see me as a closet gun-toting redneck- my job is not who I am...I am the same person I always have been only older. My job puts me in contact and doing things most people cant understand or believe I do...that is a heavy responsibility that I believe is also a great privilege and a sacred trust to always remember that my actions, words, and the positions I take reflect on tens of thousands of the folks that trust and rely on me to work my very best for them. My Facebook page is 99% personal, good old country boy from the hills of south central Arkansas Ron...hunting, fishing, talking and BSing with good friends, Ron...but....and this is a big but...a lot of my good friends talk a lot about their passions in life and that includes our work representing average folks at work, the unfairness of the income gap and reflects our personal beliefs in our political systems...if I sometimes get on a soapbox and seem to have a hard edge, that is where it comes from...and to answer the question directly my JOB is to be a representative and spokesperson for workers who do not have a voice, otherwise in the national public discourse and give their side to those who will listen.
