I was asked today by a camper what it takes to be a superhero and it got me to thinking some may think its the ability to leap a building in a single bound, super strength or super speed maybe it just takes wearing a red cape or possibly superior intellect these are the first thoughts I had as a child I always thought of superman when I heard super hero but these attributes are only seen in movies and comics so when I think of super hero I think of my mom not because she was perfect because no one is perfect but because there is a magical bond between mother and son moms sense danger and do what ever it takes to take care of there family mothers have a connection with there children that can never be broken mothers would give there life to see there children They may not be saving people from burning buildings or fighting crime in the streets, but they do have a tough job, honestly one of the toughest jobs there are. They have many titles and perform numerous tasks on any given day. Moms multitasks like no one’s business moms knows when to ask for help, teaches her children how to be polite and respectful helps with homework and takes time to spend with her kids knows when to say “I’m sorry” or “I was wrong” has a magical touch to make her children feel better rolls with the punches lives in the moment showers her family with love accepts changes can sense when something is wrong with one of her children realizes the small moments in her life are actually the big ones smiles doesn’t force her children to do something they don’t want to learns from her children lets loose and has fun doesn’t try to be perfect knows her best is enough After losing my mom I really wish I could tell her this but my mom is my super hero rip mom I love you and always will Judi Kabinoff Fasano
