I was asked what I do to stay mindful of my stress levels and to - TopicsExpress

I was asked what I do to stay mindful of my stress levels and to try and reduce them. I try to get outside. There are fewer nos, more freedom, and I can dig around in the garden or practice recognizing the botanical identification terms I am learning. I dont have to worry about messes to clean up and there is less bickering over stuff. I try to swig down a hot glass of Natural Calm Magnesium plus Calcium. Love the stuff. Tastes a bit terrible but it takes the edge off of stressy anxiety stuff. I take stock of my blessings. Most of my stress comes attached to positives somehow. I try to spend some mental time thinking about the stresses differently. All of my stresses are attached to blessings. I try to shift my balance to appreciation. I pile books up and read to my kids. It is snuggly and they are engaged and it passes time in a close and fun way. I try and make the space to take a shower just because. It calms me. I draw. I go back to a routine if I have fallen out of one, or I cancel my day and go completely off routine. I try to take stock of what stresses are right now stresses, today stresses and long term stresses, and I try to shelf the stresses that arent immediate, or identify waypoints that will happen. I cannot do anything about X until Y happens but once Y happens then X will be easy to take care of.
