I was at Mercado La Palomas last night for the LA Sheriffs - TopicsExpress

I was at Mercado La Palomas last night for the LA Sheriffs non-debate and briefly spoke to a young lady working a police brutality booth. She showed me on her laptop a short high school student-produced video of the 1992 Rodney King riots and asked me to comment and give feedback on the quality and presentation of the video. After watching the video, we started talking about potential future LA riots and she started going into how theres a lot of pissed off people in Los Angeles due to the brutality theyve experienced at the hands of la policia; Im sure people lump in ICE deportations as part of the general police force. I also added that the global warming situation will make summers more intense and water and food shortages more commonplace: The point being, we are going into a scary, unknown abyss where our worse humyn qualities will become commonplace, and we must learn urban survival skills to help our families and each other out. It feels like we will need to form a modern underground railroad to help Mexicans, central Americanos, and others escape and evade from their countrys problems as they begin to come in droves into the US as their countrys economic crises worsen. The American government has already prepared for this possibility of large droves of migrants: they label it Fortress America.
