I was at a talk on the First World War, the guy really knew his stuff, but... It reminded me of my schools, most history teachers were boring, dull, and should have been put down years before. The three exceptions out of twenty or so were, Mr Millinship, Quackers Smith, and Raf Samuel. If you are going to give a talk, put a bit of wellie in it, some passion, dont be afraid of your audience. Move, dont swivel, you have a stage, use it. Engage with the audience, try and keep them awake.. Stop trying to be nice, we know you are a nice guy. Light a fire. Use your balls give it a bit of spunk,. Be passionate about your subject.
