I was at my friends birthday party tonight. She lives near Shorthills Provincial Park. I was fortunate enough to witness something you dont see every day. Im still shivering because I ran out with my camera and no coat. I wanted to speak to both sides that were protesting. They were waiting for dusk when the First Nations hunters come back with their kill. While we stood there, two deer sprinted across the road (smart animals - they got away). I must say that the two woman (who were very outnumbered) who spoke on behalf of the native hunters were very well spoken in their arguments while they were being shouted down by the other side. I have to read up about this now. Lots of new stuff to learn about old treaty rights and Shorthills Park. Jerry had to come and pull me away - Im still shivering You always have to cause trouble! says he. brrrrrrrrrrr !!
