I was at the supermarket kiosk and JJ asked for a packet of m&ms. I say no, for many reasons, but I basically just didnt want him to have them. JJ grudgingly puts them back, until the guy in front of us with all the best intentions tells him to give him the m&ms and hell pay. I insist, that JJ doesnt need the sweets, but the guy not listening has already paid for them and handed them to JJ. Now, the guy was pleased with himself and genuinely thought he was doing a good thing so I didnt want to be an asshole about it, but I was mad as hell!! I find myself in this situation A LOT with my kids who are forever asking for things in public, and whilst I dont want to discourage people being nice to kids, I really hate strangers attempting to undermine me... Am I overreacting?
