I was at work today and people were talking about a baby that was dumped by a Samoan woman in Sydney Ausetalia aka the post admin Ken posted below earlier! So my son picks me up from work and starts telling me about the story thats gone viral and on the news! My son says to me in the car, Mum, that makes us Samoans look bad I thought for a few minutes what my son said, so I says to him, Son, this doesnt just happen to us Samoans, it can happen to anybody. And clearly this woman is in a bad situation in her life that even though she knew there are people she can turn to, she just chose to go the wrong way about it, she obviously fell into a dark moment in her life that she did what she did. She needs help and even though its sad that she had to go that far, shes in a dark place at the moment, she needs all the help and support from family, friends and her Samoan community etc, with whatever situation shes going through. But thank God her baby is still alive, we should be thankful to that We have to understand, that we dont know what somebody is really going through, some people just fall so deep into that black hole, its hard to pull them out! Hope she gets the help she needs and baby will be put into a loving home of her family or caring people that will take good care of this child! Malo Samoa, Oa mai tatou? :D Lynn.
