I was awaken at 1:30 am by Jason calling from the city to let me know he had just received an emergency phone call concerning one of our Village daughters, Yami, who was spending part of the summer with her mothers family in their Totonaco village of San Martin- 4 hours away on a dirt road. I called Yamis mother and she told me, Yami will not wake up. Please come get us. There is no one in any of surrounding villages that have a vehicle to take us to the hospital. Please come! Juan, Bertha, 2 of our teenage boys, and I loaded up into the van and headed their way. There were mud slides everywhere and the boys had to get out, shovel, and high lift jack us out several times. We arrived to the tiny wooden home at 5 am and found Yami limp and in a coma. As her Mom and I took turns holding her, she had lots of minor epileptic seizures and 2 intensely severe ones on the way to the nearest hospital- several hours away. Her heart rate ranged from 120 to 350 and was at 19 bpm when we carried her into ER. Yami is not well. Please pray for our baby. We need a miracle. Below are pictures of Yami with her Mom, her favorite stuffed animal, and in the ICU bed where she is now. Thank you so much for your prayers! If you would like to help us with the medical fees, that would be a huge blessing. Thanks so much! Nicole thevillageglobal.org heavensfamily.org/fitzpatrick
