I was backing my car out of the driveway tonight to go get Prime Rib at the Moose and I saw my dogs chasing a Siamese kitten out of the yard. I stopped the car, the kitten ran under the car. I turned everything off, got out of the car and and closed the gate, wondering how the hell Kaleesi got out of the house and praying they hadnt hurt her. She is crying from under the car and then stops. Im in panic mode. My knees suck. Getting down on the concrete in the driveway is no picnic and lying flat out on my stomach to look under my VW Golf is no fun at all. No kitten. Dragging myself back up to my feet; Herculean task. I hear crying. I hit the lever to pop the hood and open it slowly so not to scare her worse. I find her on top of the radiator, grab her by the scruff and drag her out, holding her against my chest. She purrs. I examine kitten to see if the dogs hurt her. Where are her white toes? When did she become a boy? What the hell? NOT KALEESI. While my dogs whine and do the Its not ours can we kill it? dance, I settle into the passenger seat of my car to try and figure out what to do next, while little pure Siamese boy purrs and sucks on my throat. I detach the kitten. Leave it in the car. Go in the garage and get the big carrier. Go dig the kitten out of the car. (Not a problem. He came straight to me). Put kitten in the carrier. Go in the house. Put kitty box in carrier along with food and water and a towel. Leave house- Go to Moose. They run out of Prime Rib. I had my mouth SET for prime rib. So I come home. Let the kitten out. All the cats including kitten Kaleesi are very pissed at me. Screw em. Its been a long couple months and Im done with their little hissy fits. Tomorrow Ill go check with the neighbors. Unlike Kaleesi, this kitten is a lover and as tame and trusting as can be. He MIGHT belong next door. Or across the street. So Ill check. Otherwise, I am not quite sure WHAT Im going to do. Im starting to wonder if Im getting some kind of karma payback. And if its good or bad payback? Im not really sure. Im a sucker for Siamese cats...but I honestly have enough animals.
