I was beginning to feel as though I was coming down with a cold so I decided to stop it before it starts. Pictured below are the ingredients that I used to make a Cold Relief Tonic. Most of these ingredients can be found in your own pantry. Ingredients 1 medium onion 2 tsp thyme 1 1/2 cinnamon bark stick 2 tbsp dried orange rinds 3 tbsp dried sage 1 whole lemon 6 fresh peppermint leaves 2 cloves of fresh garlic 2 slices of fresh ginger root 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper 1 tbsp Apple Cider vinegar w/mother (I prefer Braggss) 1 tsp coconut oil 2 tbsp honey 4 cups water Directions In 4 cups of water add the dry ingredients (cinnamon, orange, sage, and thyme). Bring to a rolling boil. Turn heat down to allow for a slow boil. To sauce pan add the fresh ingredients (onion, lemon, peppermint, garlic, and ginger). Allow to simmer until onions become mostly translucent. Strain and decant into clean jar. Then fill jar will cooked ingredients. Add cayenne pepper and coconut oil. Infused upside down for 15-20 minutes. Finally strain into container and add honey. This makes approximately 3 cups of tonic. Application Drink a coffee cup size of tonic once every hour until gone. This tonic can be remade and served everyday for 5-7 days or until symptoms subside.
