I was catcher because Johnny Bench was my favorite player. I felt a really sharp pain when the pitch hit my mitt. When I removed the mitt, my thumb was just a limp mass of skin laying in the palm of my hand. Mom was called and had to take me to ER. After X-rays, doc said I have different thumb joints and they wrapped my hand. My stepdad showed up at the hospital. He said let me see your thumb. He grabbed it & jerked really hard. It hurt like HELL! I FELT IT SNAP! 5 minutes later I was pain free! He did what the doctors could not do. I continued to catch for the rest of the year because I knew my stepdad could fix me. Right now HURTS LIKE HELL, and nobody can fix it. RIP LEEROY BELLAMY. LOVE YOU, BYE, SEE YOU!
