I was cruising down one of those north/south streets in the East Valley in my pickup (with a camper shell) going a smoothly moderate speed limit, slowing a little when necessary to time the stop lights that frequent these streets. Mind you, Im not Sun City slow yet, but more no-rush senior. Well, this bright yellow Corvette zooms past me on my left, only to be stopped by the red light ahead. I ease up and notice the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy license plate wrap and a young woman behind the wheel. My timing is good and I pass through the intersection ahead of the Vette, hoping she sees my ASU College of Education sticker. The same scene is repeated. She zips past me only to be caught by the next red light. I cruise through once again. This continues for three lights until I make a right turn, feeling pretty superior, somehow interjecting school spirit into the whole event. It wasnt until a couple blocks later that I realized Id missed my east/west street.
