I was curious so took a last minute trip the CES show in Vegas to see the latest Next Level Aerial Filming drone in action that my buddy Xavier De Le Rue has been helping develop. Connected to a nifty smartphone app it tracks you and does all kinds of preprogrammed camera moves that you just tap like an Instagram filter. My clumsy fingers, that are always jittery from to much coffee, can hardly land a drone, so seeing it do that automatically was impressive. In general I love how it will level the creative playing field between consumers and pros, put the tools directly in the hands of athletes and also makes high end shots possible with less impact of actual helicopters and big film crews.
