I was doing some research on the City of Norfolks website and I was looking at the Mission Statement, Vision Statement, and Goal Statement for the City of Norfolk. Read what the Vision Statement says: VISION STATEMENT CITY OF NORFOLK, NEBRASKA Norfolk is a community of strength that takes pride in being a clean, safe, friendly, prosperous, united city with modern municipal facilities. Norfolk is a healthy community with state of the art medical facilities, abundant water resources and environmentally friendly practices. Norfolk is a vibrant growing community offering shovel ready industrial sites, a network of transportation corridors, abundant low cost utilities, diverse education opportunities and quality workforce. Norfolk is an OASIS of recreational, entertainment and cultural opportunities. Read what that last sentence states. Norfolk is an OASIS of recreational, entertainment and cultural opportunities. How can the City of Norfolk vote against the new track when their Vision Statement says that and also with the support of the community that has been shown on this page.
