I was given the age 18....(from Susan Tourney) I had just married and we were living in a rental on Weber Street. Marion Melancon was our landlord. I soon started working for the school board . I drove a green 1970 Ford Mustang. I was skinny . I WAS SKINNY!!! I smoked . All I could cook was eggs, bacon and toast and make coffee. Groceries cost ten dollars a week. 50 cents for five pounds of sugar, 50 cents for five pounds flour, 50 cents for pound of coffee unless you bought the store brand. You could drive your car for days on a dollars worth of gas,! If you want an age then make a comment and Ill give you a number....
