I was going to do this yesterday but never got to it, so here I am today dealing with my heirloom pumpkin. getting the seeds and roasting the shell to make stuff with. Hopefully some pies. 1st pic is the whole pumpkin. Ill try to find out the variety later on. 2nd pic is my converted watermelon knife to pumpkin slicing knife. 3rd pic is pumpkin cut in half showing all the seeds and stringy stuff that needs to get scooped out. 4 th pic is it all scooped out bu using what else, but an ice cream scoop. Worked great. Its in the oven now at 375 degs. for about 1 to 1 1/2 hrs. or until fork tender, then pureed in the food processor. Pics of that operation to follow after it cools.
