I was going to put out my video for my song Sometimes today. But I decided not to. Facebook has started limiting the reach for Fan pages like this one, and it is making it so that my posts are not being seen by most of the people who Liked this page. That is Facebooks way to get people to pay for promoted posts. I have been running this page myself for years & havent really been thinking of it like a marketing thing, but FB has sorta made it so that any page with a few thousand followers has to pay to reach their fans, even indie artists like me. If u wanna understand this better, Google Facebook decreases organic reach for fan pages. So over the next few days I gotta talk to my people about how to handle this. I think it means I am gonna be using my ChicagoNow blog and my Youtube page more. Im bummed, cuz interacting with friends & fans on FB has been one of my fave parts of my day for a very long time. But it is what it is, Ill figure it out & all will be well once again. New video dropping next week. Be sure to check the page if it stops showing up in your news feed. Everybody loves me.
