I was hand scrubbing my plank wood floors yesterday and got a monster splinter in my finger... I mean MONSTER. Hurt so bad I couldnt ignore it... also went so deep I couldnt see it after I broke off the end that was sticking out. I was going to cut my finger open and get it out, my usual shenanigans of taking care of myself. Well, I couldnt even cut into it with an exacto, it hurt that stinkin bad! Cut a little, broke out in a total sweat and about passed out and stopped! LOL! Slept with that throbbing mess all night and whacked it on every damn thing doing chores this morning. Thank God, Trish came and took me to Express care today where they numbed my entire finger (geez, that was nice) and dug it out... I was expecting to see a telephone pole... I was shocked to see how small it was! I get splinters all winter handling firewood, I dont know what made this one so bad, other than being deep.... Sheesh, glad thats over, got a tetanus too, just loved that.... Thanks Trish, you are ALWAYS there for me.
