I was in a condo in Orange Beach, AL with my family on vacation.....getting coffee, orange juice, cereal for the little one, hearing my granddaughter and parents laughter come from the patio, when I heard my son say one of the World Trade Center buildings has been attacked..... We all watched in horror as a second plane attacked the remaining World Trade Center building, then the news of the attack on the Pentagon, followed by the heroic crash in the Pennsylvania field, finally the complete collapse of the buildings in New York. All Americans were in shock. There was not a soul on the beach until late that afternoon, those that left their televisions to write USA or God Bless America in the sand or to hang an American flag from their balcony, meant to be seen by the fighter jets that had already begun to patrol and protect our shorelines.....I will never forget....and pray that we will never surrender....
