I was in a donut shop the other day and I was wearing my old Gloucester City P.B.A. jacket because it is water proof and it was raining. I lady came up to me and said, hey your are a long way from home. I explained I live down here now (Franklin Twp. ) She then said , I love Gloucester City. She said she was renting a house in town and was in discussions to buy it when her job was transferred to Cumberland County, so she had to relocate. She told me back in 2010 there was a big snow storm and she was digging her car out of her driveway, the neighbor sent his kids over to help her and they would not take any money for it. She then told me that she now lives in a complex and when her car battery went dead, she asked her neighbor if he could jump her car. He said sorry in a hurry She said, people are nicer in the old neighborhoods. I am glad she was talking loud enough for others to hear!
