I was in the waiting room today to see the Dr. and the nurse came out and called me to come back. Me and this other older lady got up and started walking towards the nurse. We both stopped at the door and looked at each other with much confusion. it was obvious the nurse was confused too as she was making funny faces and asked if the two of us were together. I said no and then she just started laughing and almost squealing. She asked the other lady what her name was and she said Mecca! She then asked our last name to figure who was supposed to go in. After much amazement and laughter Mecca and I shook hands and said it was nice meeting each other. All the folks in the waiting room were smiling and laughing too. When I came out of the office she was still in the waiting room and I went up to her and asked her how she got her name. She said it was a family name and that her family is of an Italian heritage. We chatted briefly about how people have reacted to this unusual name we were given and commented on what a small world it really is!!
