I was just graced so much by being asked to go outside and shovel. - TopicsExpress

I was just graced so much by being asked to go outside and shovel. I had just woken up from a nap and the ideal didnt appeal to me very much, but I went out as asked. As I was shoveling outside I was the only noise for seemingly miles; one, two, maybe three cars passed during the whole thirty minutes. It was perhaps the most serene thirty minutes of my life with snow covering everything, but with the addition of a totally clear sky that was fading into a crazy sunset over the snow. As I was finishing up, I decided that this very well could be the only time in my life where I get to see such a sunset over the silent, white, and perfect snow, so I started walking up to the middle of an intersection where it is clear for about 100 feet on every side. The view was crazy, I wish I had a picture, but as I got there I was blessed with a breeze. I wouldnt have even noticed but there was one clump of leaves in the nearest tree which rustled(this is the end of winter and these were the only leaves on any tree in sight). This brought me back to one of my favorite scriptures, 1 Kings 19: There was first a windstorm which rent the mountains and broke the rocks into pieces before yahweh, but yahweh was not in the wind. After the storm, an earthquake, but yahweh was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake, a fire, but yahweh was not in the fire. After the fire, the murmur of a gentle breeze. When Elijah perceived it, he went out and stood at the entrance of the cave. Praise God for being present to us everywhere we go, even in the smallest breeze.
