I was just interviewed on the Craig Needles Show on am980! :) He wanted to talk about my efforts to put better guidelines in place regarding Councillor Expense Funds. Ive got 2 letters that will soon be reviewed by the Corporate Services Committee. 1 deals with creating guidelines about how Councillors are reimbursed for fuel costs... During the last council, one Councillor was using up to $500.00 each month in fuel costs. The other letter deals with creating ways for Councillors to NOT use Expense Funds to sponsor churches or community groups of THEIR choosing. Craig thought it was interesting that my letters will be reviewed by the same group that will also have to decide if Councillor Bill Armstrong should be reimbursed for his expense for paying a choir to sing at a retirement home and for a vehicle that was used in the Santa Claus Parade. The CSC meets next week! Lets see what happens..................
