I was just re looking over my driving career in here. Many are not listed that were short term back when jobs were plentiful and worked to my advantage as a stepping stone in gaining more experience on different equipment. Forklift driver, front end loaders, dozers, trackhoes,steam cleaners, and drag lines to name a few. I even was rehired several times at a few places cause I was safe and made them money on the cheap cause I had to start over again at the base pay. I even went to night school to learn welding and held down a day job at the same time for two years. That welding experience helped in five jobs and gained me one up on being hired first when jobs were a little more scarce. My two most enjoyable jobs were sometimes my most hated those two were the demolition company and my over the road long haul driver jobs. I always tried to enjoy my employment and strive to be the best and safest. I have several framed awards that I am proud of achieving and two letters that I never expected praising my driver skills. The negative for only two from gossip and down right lies when they had found out my little secret. So what if I was the only one without a girl friend or wife at the company picnics. I guess they just thought I liked rainbows before rainbows became popular and identified to a movement. Once the closet door was forced open you really see into the hearts of others. The losses dont matter and the ones that matter are true friends for ever.
