I was just reading a review (People Magazine) about the tv show The Good Wife which I dearly love. Sunday nights, I try to watch it and The Mentalist. Today, Im doing great and really have been for a while, even with some difficulties. Its mostly about letting go of control. There are times when life throws us curves, and we just need to crumble. Sometimes, having responsibility for and to others like our chiildren or our aging parents, it is seemingly impossible to find that block of time and/or privacy in which to let ourselves just go with the feelings. One of the main characters on the show was shot down in a courtroom scene last week (he was an attorney....I know, I know)..Alicia aka The Good Wife was in love with him in college. Of course, they ended up being partners in the same law firm, and later, adversaries when she left the firm to start her own. He was The One shes never gotten over. The One she always wondered What if about. Heres a quote from the article which I can sure relate to at times. I think its actually quite beautiful ~ She wanders about in a state of troubled, searching sorrow. Shes like Ma Parker, the pitiable, grief-stricken character in a famous story by Katherine Mansfield: Oh, wasnt there anywhere where she could hide as long as she liked, not disturbing anybody, and nobody worrying her? Wasnt there anywhere in the world where she could have her cry out – at last? Ok, so Im an incurable romantic sap for a sob story....there ya have it, folks!
