I was just told my by husband that we do not yet qualify for a home purchase. We need to wait one more year. Our first home we loved. It was a big move for us. Richard and I had both been married before and when we got together in 1993, we had one child of mine and 2 of his making five of us at that time. We were over the moon with our 2 story, 1600 square foot home in a nice Summerlin neighborhood. That was 1995. After a few years, our income allowed for a much bigger home in Summerlin. 4 Bedrooms, 4 Baths, Family Room and Living Room, Huge Kitchen, Pool, Covered patio with grass and a BBQ! (yes, we had grass - not much as it is Vegas, but had it). After that, we moved into a million dollar home on the water in Desert Shores (across one street from Summerlin). Then, we lost it all. Richard and I separated and I moved into THIS condo. That was 5 years ago this month. Not a good anniversary to remember at all. The good news? Its a cute condo. It serves its purpose. Its in a gated community in Summerlin and so far its been scorpion free (haha. Only 3 centipedes in 5 years). So, we sign a lease and stay for another year while we work DILIGENTLY to buy a house next year at this time. Affirmation: By Summer of 2015, Richard and I will have the funds (cash and credit) to purchase a home valued at at least $300,000. We will have a pool and a yard for the babies to play in. We will have a covered patio and Richard and my brother Jeff will BBQ yummy food. We will have family events, baby showers, and holiday celebrations in our new home that we will purchase by July 31, 2015. And we will do this by being willing to do more than we think it will take to succeed and by helping others through the process. It will happen!!
