I was led to Google the mu chord, and on investigation it seems Ive been using it in my songs for what seems like for ever. And there I was thinking it was just a straightforward Add 2 chord. According to Wikipedia The voicing came to be associated with jazz-rock band Steely Dan, which led me to some clarity about why I never liked that particular outfit, even though many people with otherwise impeccable musical taste do. Its the Jazz-rock label that irritates me so much; they never rocked, and they never played what I called jazz, so fail on both counts.
