I was nominated by Doug Bish to complete the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. I nominate four of my closest friends, Jake Malinowski, Doug Chumita, Nate Randall and Lauren Marriner to complete this challenge as well, posting the video on Facebook to help raise awareness of ALS, or by donating to ALS research! On a disappointing side note, the people on my Facebook friends list always find something to complain about. Stop needlessly bashing the ALS challenge. Not everyone will realistically donate, but the message and mission is still clear of this challenge: to raise awareness of ALS. According to the ALS Association webpage, between July 29th up until yesterday, the ALS Association raised $4.1 million dollars through this silly gesture (compared to the $1.12 million during the same time period last year). Take 30 seconds to research something before attacking a good cause. Stick to making status posts about your opinion on obamacare, your feelings on gun restrictions, and how much you love/hate LeBron. These are all things I can easily ignore as I scroll through my news feed.
