I was nominated by Melissa Cecil Cornell to do the ALS ice bucket - TopicsExpress

I was nominated by Melissa Cecil Cornell to do the ALS ice bucket challenge. ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. The ALS Association is a great organization that helps with research, care services, public education, and public policy for this horrific disease. For my challenge I went for a slide down a waterfall into a pool of freezing water in the Big Horn Mountains. I ended up doing the slide twice since the video for the first attempt was shaky due to me falling and going down the slide before the camera person was ready and the second time failed to record at all. I wasn’t about to make a third attempt as my skin was red and hurt from the cold, so the shaky video will have to do! While the ALSA is a wonderful organization and I am posting my video to raise awareness for their organization I have decided to donate money to a different organization that is close to my heart. Instead of nominating specific people to also complete the challenge I nominate anybody who is reading this to go out and give to the cause that is near and dear to your heart, and giving your time is just as valuable as money! Any time you have an opportunity to make a difference in this world and you dont, then you are wasting your time on Earth. - Roberto Clemente
