I was not trying to crash the market. I was trying to highlight the fact that ANZ are funding the biggest open cut coal mine currently being constructed in Australia. Today I bear the consequences of that decision. Last year, Jonathan Moylan sent out a fake press release stating one of the Australias biggest banks was divesting their interests in a new coal mine. The hoax temporarily wiped $314 million off the coal company’s share price. Released with a 20 month suspended sentence last week, Moylan explains the reasons behind his actions.
