Scary night last night. Our 15 year old dog Misha kept falling down and was shaking uncontrollably. Wound up taking him to the pet ER thinking this was going to be it. Vet feels its related to his vestibular disease but could also be indicative of something more (brain stem tumor, mini strokes, etc.), but without an MRI its impossible to know for sure. While I couldnt justify the cost of the test, I also feel like Im putting a monetary figure on one of my best friends ever. Anyway, we decided to try the anti-vertigo meds they were offering and go from there. Spent the night with him downstairs and thankfully he slept well. Took his meds again this morning and ate his food and is holding it down. He even wanted to go for a walk, although they recommended holding off of physical activity for a few days. Anyway, would appreciate your prayers for him (and me!). I dont know if Ill be able to make that decision when the time comes and just hope God takes the decision out of my hands.
