I was pissed today to discover that my HVACs fan is always running. It should be on auto. It is running even when everything on the thermostat is off. i did some basic troubleshooting and conclude that probably the stat is broken. Its a ca. 2007 smart thermostat although I use it as a dumb one. A quck check on Ebay shows that used (and even new) of same model available. $25 delivered. Assuming I am right, all Ill have to do is snap the new one onto the mounting bracket of the old one. Only later today does it occur to me to be thankful that the fan was not stuck in the off position...I like my A/C this time of year :)
