I was posting when the thread on the Daily Mail story about the woman who said she cannot afford to lose weight was deleted. I thought I had an iOS 8 fault! I have looked at the story on line and she has not asked for more money, she is saying that healthy food and gym membership are too expensive. She says, according to the story, that she needs more money from the government in order to improve her health. I want to point out that benefit payments are made according to criteria and are set amounts. You can apply but you cannot simply Oliver Twist like ask for more. So the question of whether we should be paying her to lose weight does not arise. With that clarification, please do not feel obliged to post.
