I was raised in Carbon county and have lived in Wyoming for nearly 42 of my 46 years. Have planted roots in Goshen county, my husband and I live south of Lingle now. I was educated at UW and possess a Bachelor of Science in Zoology/Physiology with emphasis in Bio-electrical engineering. I ultimately chose to stay at home and am a home maker, home based business owner, and home pre-schooling grandmother. We are duty bound to preserve and defend our heritage of good government and its founding documents... I am a constitutional conservative and know that the change we seek begins in each of our homes. Personal responsibility is necessary because as James Madison said the advancement and dissemination of knowledge is the only true guardian of liberty. For several years I have been a grass roots community activist often times assuming the lead role of local and state level activities and organizations. The most recent and well known effort was the 2013 statewide referendum petition to repeal the Legislative action in the now infamous Senate File 104. I coordinated and was primary sponsor for that effort, as a result acquiring intimate knowledge of the way the state government works and the Secretary of States office specifically. Little known fact: I am in Laramie County District Court with a law suit against the current Secretary of State for allowing petition printing to consume two weeks of our 90 day time period... representing myself. In the spirit of advancing my own knowledge I have spent time with the deputy Secretary of State learning more about the office, the County Clerks office, tours of our power generation plants, coal mines, and plans for future tours of trona mines, natural gas plants, etc... In a government of, by, and for the people the people are necessary. I am rising up from among the governed to take some of our place back in our government. Here I am, send me, but only for a season. I would be honored to serve Wyoming and will continue to uphold and defend the U.S. and Wyoming constitutions. As SoS I will be aware of and stand opposed to the advancement of centralized government and federal encroachment through the solicitation of federal funds. I will search agency rules for constitutional compliance and work with legislators to make certain statutes related to my office protect the people not political opportunists and bureaucrats. Capitol Construction is eminent to bring the building to code and I will help to facilitate smooth transition during that period as well as stand against expansion of the Herschler Building. The boards the Secretary holds a position and vote on, prescribed by the constitution and statutes, are instrumental in decisions as to how Wyomings money is spent, how the states facilities are used and bought or sold, use of state lands and purchases and exchanges... I will be a frugal voice on those boards with the good of the citizens and communities of Wyoming in the forefront of my mind at all times. I humbly ask for your support and your vote... because change starts in each of our homes we the people vote Young. voteyoung2014 Yesterday, Wednesday, June 25, a lawsuit was filed by Wyoming Liberty group on behalf of myself and another citizen against Governor Mead and Secretary Maxfield. The lawsuit disputes statutes and rules prohibiting a minor or third party candidate from fundraising before the primary.
