I was raised up on a movie starring John Travolta and Debra Winger called: Urban Urban Cowboy the movie sets in Houston, TX. what Ive observed is the way Texas Politics Culture and Texas Law has changed since 1981. Did you know that you could drive in Texas without proof of Liability Insurance until 1985, Seat belts until 1986 and Open Containers until approx. 1990 or 1991? Bud Davis was rolling down the highway sipping on a long-neck of Lone Star Beer in his black Ford Pick up truck and it was totally legal. You could also be injured and have your arm broken in a venue and not have a case to sue or even a motive to sue the owners of the venue and return back to the club the following night. A convicted felon could get out of prison and go to work immediately without a background check even though he returned to rob the employer. You could also get into a fist fight at a beer joint without the fear of prosecution. You could also have a rodeo competition indoors and compete for cash prizes on a Mechanical Bull. You could also propose marriage and get a yes after a muddy water fight without getting down on one knee even if the marriage was to be doomed within two weeks and later reconciled. lol
