I was running on the treadmill this afternoon at the gym. About 15 minutes into my workout I got full. Some of you may not understand that term. Some of you might say that such an expression belies Lutheran language or even sound Lutheran theology but the fullness of the Lord entered that room and I began to worship all by myself. It probably was a good thing that for the first 45 minutes I had the gym all to myself, but the way that I was feeling it would not have mattered. I began to sing an old song. There was no rhyme or reason. It was the song that just settled in my soul: I know Ive been changed I know Ive been, I know Ive been changed the angels in heaven done signed my name. Stepped in the water the water was cold the angels in heaven done signed my name. It chilled my body but not my soul, the angels in heaven done signed my name.
