I was saddened to hear tonight of the death of my colleague, Dr Bob Such, Independent MP in State Parliament. I served with Bob on the Environment Committee of Parliament and we worked together on a number of campaigns including voluntary euthanasia and the protection of urban trees. Penny and I sat with Bob at lunch on the opening day of Parliament in May, not that long after he had learnt of his illness. He knew then that he had a fight on his hands, but we didnt know it would be the last time we would see him. Bob was a good man, a passionate advocate for his community and I will miss him. My deepest sympathy to Lyn and his family. Vale Bob.
