I was seriously the most angry I have been in a long time today. I went to Lilys school around 12 today to give her monthly lunch money. Well a little girl probably in the 4th grade came in and began telling the secretary this My mommy was supposed to bring my lunch today but I think she forgot about me. Has she brought my lunch box? Secretary No honey she hasnt.. Before she could finish I interrupted and asked if she needed money for lunch today and the little girl looked at me with this look I cant describe. The secretary looked at me in the same way and simply said No maam I promise she wont go hungry my heart broke for this little girl. I could tell that she longed for a nurturing touch and was confused,and worried. No child should have to say I think my mommy forgot about me. Now Im crying........Her hair hadnt been brushed that morning and I could tell it wasnt because she wouldnt let her mom do it. A child is a precious thing that deserves security,love and kindness. Never will Lily ever say I think my mommy forgot about me.
