I was so blessed to be the daughter of Johnnie Allen. Every one knew her , no matter where we were and she knew them She never met a stranger and could always find at least one person we were kin to in any crowd !!! She was beautiful, smart , gentle , wise and always saw the world in beautiful colors she created. She loved her family and loved my daddy until she drew her last breath . She was Granny Allen to many and every grandchild loved her and thought she was the grandest person in the world . She wasnt rich or famous but left such a legacy to all who knew her. She lived very simple and was a woman of her word. She grew up poor but was determined that would not be her lot in life . She went to work at 13 and never stopped !!!! She loved her Lord and her church and was faithful till the end I know she was met with the words Well done, my good and faithful servant . Enter in I never knew her to be discouraged in anything , she was always smiling ! I miss that smile and I miss her every single day of my life even after all these years I wish she could have known my grandchildren and those sweet great Grandbabies . Could have seen my children grow up , she would have been very proud . I love you Mama and I miss you so much but I am coming to see you so watch for me, be waiting ! Happy Birthday Mama ! I miss those April Fools Day Birthday surprises, wish we could put Jo in that refrigerator box one more time and hear your laughter and see your face !! I love you mama
