I was so honored to perform stories of Abraham, Sarah, and Isaac - TopicsExpress

I was so honored to perform stories of Abraham, Sarah, and Isaac during the second day of Rosh Hashana services on Friday at Beth El Congregation of Baltimore, and also stories of Hagar and Ishmael during Selichot last Saturday night. I hope the listeners of these stories will explore the stories in the Torah, and in the midrashim, and find their own interpretations. I have so many people to thank for their support: Rabbi Steve Schwartz, Rabbi Dana Saroken, and Cantor Thom King of Beth El, for inviting me to participate in such a meaningful service, and offering their support and feedback throughout the process. Thank you as well to the many storytelling colleagues/friends who listened and offered feedback on my Selichot and Rosh Hasahana stories, including Cindy Rivka Marshall, Marc Young, Doug Lipman, Chris Potts, Sean Buvala, Rose Arrowsmith DeCoux and Ann Loar Brooks. Thank you to many Jewish educators for listening including: Marc, Cindy and Doug again, and Ben Kreshtool, Rabbi Avram Israel Reisner, Cantor Ken Cohen, Eitan Gutin, Sarah Noyovitz , Joan Myles and the incredible Gary Zimmerman, who in particular gave so many hours of help. In addition to Garys regular help over the phone, Kim Brandwin and my sister Jill Steller gave so much time during the past two weeks - in person, watching me and giving me feedback on-site at Beth El. And thank you for the support and listening of Katherine Mowrer, Katie Hall, Susannah Edwards, Arlene Finkelstein Mirsky, my daughter, my mother Joy Ebaugh, my father Richard Rudick, and of course my husband, Rob Zunikoff. I am quite sure I am forgetting somone. My apologies. Please let me know so that I can thank you properly.
