I was speaking with my friend Ed for free cone day at Ben & Jerrys today, and he was talking about Schenectady, and what keeps people coming back to Albany. Its the people. They are Albanys greatest resource. If we start losing the people who live here, we lose everything. I love this place for that reason, its why I moved here 6 years ago. Since then I have seen many of my friends moving to greener pastures. When I ask them why, they claim many reasons, but the underlying theme to me seems to be that they are seeking more freedom. Im excited to see the Albany Barn opening up in the near future. Was talking to Bryan Brundige about it tonight, and it sounds amazing. I think the more Albany embraces freedom and the arts, the better place it will be, I genuinely feel this way. Hope to see you out on the town!
