I was stranded at MIA airport for over 5 hours. He approached me - TopicsExpress

I was stranded at MIA airport for over 5 hours. He approached me after I was attempting to make yet another of my many calls to reach my relative, whod had a conflict and forgotten the time I was coming in. Smh. True story. He (Dr. Munroe) asked if I was okay and how he could help me. I shared with him my circumstance. He asked if I had the address to my uncle but I didnt, as I wasnt expecting him to not be available to pick me up. So he offered me a ride in his cab. He also paid for me to stay at the hotel, he was staying due to a conference he was attending. At the front desk he also asked them to allow me long distance privileges so I could continue to call my uncle or any other relative to come and pick me up. At the time Id never heard of him nor ever saw him again...until this past week when his face came up on my Facebook feed that he died along with his lovely wife and other family and close extended ministerial family. I wept, as for the first time in 30 years I heard his voice again and saw pictures of him and realized he was not an figment of my imagination. Thirty years later, my hero of that scary day was revealed but to discover he was was dead. However, back up to that first encountered...before he I left out that evening, he came back to check on me and asked if I was hungry and invited me to join him and some of his colleagues for supper. But I said no, as I didnt want to impose or inconvenience him any further. So he wished me well and that was the first full encounter, and last time I saw this wonderful man. I did however left him a note to say thanks before I checked out. For years Ive shared this story of this mystery man with family and friends. A man that took the time to look out for me at a time when I was most vulnerable. Who made me felt safe and reminded me that good folks do exist. He was so calm and confident and down to earth, even in that short encounter it was self evident, that he was no ordainary person. Yet, a stranger who obviously was no stranger to generosity and who bravely went above and beyond like a father figure and protected me. May God bless and protect his children and all that he has done be remembered for good and the glory of God. One day I hope to me him in glory and thank God in person for using him to bless me, like he did that day. https://m.facebook/story.php?story_fbid=1650285745198055&id=100006499356346
