I was tagged by Rance Collins to list 10 books that have affected, changed or stayed with me in some way, and how or why. I tagged 10 people to do the same. Please list 10 books and tag 10 of your friends and me so I can see your list. Drumroll, please.... The entire HARRY POTTER series (its essentially just one really long book) ~ J.K. Rowling. It made me believe in magic and the power of friendship THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE ~ C.S. Lewis. I learned how to use my imagination with this book THE DAVINCI CODE ~ Dan Brown. I learned to question everything Id been taught was doctrine of Catholicism. TWO TEENAGERS IN TWENTY ~ Various Contributors. This book helped me come to the decision to come out of the closet. MYSTERY AT DARK WOOD ~ Carol Beach York. I wanted to spend a summer on the east coast in a large old house because of this novel. BEHIND A MASK ~ Louisa May Alcott. A fascinating look at how not all artifice is inherently bad. A FIGHTING CHANCE ~ Sen. Elizabeth Warren. Explains how predatory loan practices helped precipitate the Great Recession and how the middle class has been whittled away over the past 30 years. PARADISE LOST ~ John Milton. The use of prose and literary devices is as thick as London fog, and just as interesting to explore. THE STRANGER ~ Albert Camus. Never have I learned to dislike existentialism so much as I have while reading this. STAY TUNED: DONT TOUCH THAT DIAL ~ Greg Cochrane. Everyone you see or meet is fighting a battle that you may know nothing about. I nominate Gary, Paul, Sherrill, Victoria, Craig, Nadia, Francesca, Adrian, Greg, and Anthony. Enjoy :)
