I was talking to my son, who is about to continue his study of Physics in college. I asked him if he was excited about all the new stuff he was about to learn or was he nervous about it because it seems daunting and he said, "The scientist does not study nature because it is useful; he studies it because he delights in it, and he delights in it because it is beautiful.
