I was telling a friend this story last night, so I thought I would share it with you. A few years ago I was watching a softball game out at Straughn Park. A little, sweet granny woman using a walker was at the concession stand. She got her a coke and popcorn and I could see that she needed some help to get to her seat, so I carried it for her and helped her sit down. In her sweet little granny voice, she said I sure hope one of those foul balls doesnt come over here. I assured her that if it did I would catch it and for her not to worry. Anybody that knows me knows that I have played ball all of my life. Anyway, about 3 pitches later, HERE COMES THAT FOUL BALL !! I said dont worry maam, Ive got it !Well, lo and behold, the ball hit right off my fingertips and hit that little old granny woman, spilled her coke, knocked her popcorn out of her hand, knocked her glasses off, and her feet went straight up in the air. As I was trying to help her up, she looked up at me and in the sweetest little granny voice youve ever heard said You lying SOB, youve never played a day in your life!!!!!
