I was too tired to write my day 4 gratitude list last night, so here it is. Day 4. 1. I guess I should be grateful to have had the opportunity to briefly interview Shah Rukh Khan, the biggest Bollywood star & second richest actor in the world, even if hes far from down to earth like others Ive met. By the amount of screaming & even shaking among the 1000 ppl at a dinner afterwards, its obvious 1 billion Indians would have killed to have that opp. 2. And at that dinner I met four super interesting people, including a Palestinian whose refugee parents fled to the UAE & now hes super successful, a Ukrainian woman who bravely held back tears to tell me about her countrys plight, a British woman my age who travels to Saudia Arabia regularly & the man in charge of the business owned by the UAE presidents son. None of it as a journalist. I live in the most interesting city in the world. 3. That I could have a little piece of rich chocolate cake at the Shah Rukh Khan press conference & know I dont need to worry about it ending up on my hips. I dont take that for granted but know how lucky I am :-)
