I was up all last night holding a cold washcloth to Logans - TopicsExpress

I was up all last night holding a cold washcloth to Logans forehead trying to keep his fever (that reached a high of 104) under control. So this morning I slept in and then rushed to finish morning chores before heading to the doctor. I know Im not the only one who has had days like this. (And trust me, this is one of many for me.) But when I rush through my day without spending time in the Word or Gods presence, I sure feel it. His Word, His presence - this is where I find strength, wisdom, peace, and everything I need to not only just keep going, but to go in power and might. His power and might, of course :) He sustains me. He completes me, fulfills me. All throughout the day Im communing with Him - singing, praying, praising, thinking on His Word - but I also need that time - those holy moments - to sit down at His feet and listen, to push aside all the distractions, to give Him my undivided attention and receive His. So tonight, at 6:30 on a Friday evening, Im sitting down. Im pushing aside distractions and Im listening. And Hell meet me here, Im certain. How about you? Do you need to put down whatever it is thats holding your attention today and instead give it to Him? Has your heart and soul been left wanting? Hes waiting for you, Im certain.
