I was very sad to learn today of the passing of Edgar Froese. He has been a personal hero of mine for decades. His musical and technical genius tend to go largely unnoticed. He was a pioneer of the synthesizer and a true master of free form stream of conciseness music. He began has an attendant to Salvador Dalí and credits Dali for inspiring the name of his then musical art project Tangerine Dream. I cant imagine how different musical sensibilities might be if it were not for his talent and innovation. I was fortunate enough to see him play live on 5 occasions. A true artist and visionary.
