I was working at Wells Fargo Home Loans in Cranford, NJ on Sept. 11, 2001. (about 15 miles from NYC) As I was parking my car someone called into WPLJ to say he just watched a plane fly into the world trade center from his balcony. We immediately turned on the TV and radios & people were talking how the terrorist got us. We all gathered and began to pray, collectively. As NJ was in a state of emergency and we were waiting for 8 planes to be accounted for over and over the song below played for the first time on the radio and I have not been able to listen to it since. Thankfully, my friends and family made it home safely from NYC that day. However many witnessed the 1st and/or the 2nd plane hit the buildings. 679 people from NJ died that day. Many people were suppose to be in towers that day were spared by a either a business plan change or because their pet or child made them late. Many people do not know NY/NJ was on high alert due to the 1993 wtc bombers going on trial that week or of the threats that were being made. Not too many people are aware that a Port Authority worker saw the first plane hit from her office in NJ and immediately pulled back the path trains that would have caused 100s of more people to be in the towers that day as they would have exited at the WTC stop.
